Delete your Jobby account

This page is for the Jobby mobile app. It explains how to ask for your Jobby account and the data stored with it to be deleted.

How to request deletion

Jobby does not offer account deletion inside the app. Send an email and the request is handled manually.

1. Email islambouderbala@gmail.com from the email address on your Jobby account when you can.
2. Use the subject line Delete my Jobby account.
3. Include the name and phone number on the account so it can be found. Do not send your password.
4. After the request is confirmed as yours, the account data listed below is deleted. You will get a reply at the same email address when that is done.

Data the app stores

Jobby stores your name, email address, phone number, account id, precise location, approximate location, photos, and in-app messages. If push notifications are turned on, Jobby also stores a device push token. This data is not sold.

Location search is shared with LocationIQ so addresses can be looked up. Photos are stored on the app’s own object storage.

What is deleted

When the deletion request is completed, your account profile, in-app messages, photos, and push token are deleted. The account profile includes your name, email address, phone number, account id, and the location saved on the account.

What is kept

After the request is completed, Jobby does not keep a copy of that account profile, those messages, those photos, or that push token. The app does not apply an extra retention period to them.

LocationIQ may still have the search queries it received. That copy is outside Jobby.
